Indian law firm IndusLaw has hired disputes lawyer Suadat Ahmad Kirmani (L) and banking expert Pritha Chatterjee as partners from Tatva Legal and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, respectively.

They become IndusLaw’s second and third lateral partner hires this year. Back in March, the firm welcomed a team of corporate lawyers from J Sagar Associates in Gurugram, including partner Shantanu Jindel.

Based in Bengaluru, Kirmani advises on litigation, arbitration, mergers and amalgamations, projects, claims and disputes, focusing on infrastructure, insolvency and white-collar crimes. He joined Tatva in 2021 from Link Legal (now Dentons Link Legal), prior to which he was at Clifford Chance.

Meanwhile, Chatterjee, who is based in Delhi, advises on matters under corporate law with a special focus on banking and finance. Having started her career in 2013 at erstwhile Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co, Chatterjee stayed with CAM after the 2015 split, and moved to SAM in 2019.

With these additions, IndusLaw now has 66 partners in total.
