UK law firm Charles Russell Speechlys (CRS) has recruited family lawyer Vanessa Duff as a partner in Hong Kong from Withers, where she spent the majority of her career.

The hiring is in line with CRS’ focus on private capital in the Asian region, the firm said in a statement.

Duff advises wealthy individuals focusing on expatriates on family matters, including divorce, financial arrangements, separation and child custody across Hong Kong and European countries. Having started her career at Linklaters, she joined Withers in London in 2008, before moving to Hong Kong in 2019.

Duff’s arrival has brought the number of CRS partners in Hong Kong to six. The office’s last partner hire was last January when it hired Lisa Wong from local boutique Boase Cohen & Collins. Last year, the firm announced plans to launch in Singapore.
