Jointide Law Firm, headquartered in China’s Shandong Province, has established a new office in Seoul. It is believed to be the first firm from that province to launch in South Korea.
The new office, consisting of nine lawyers proficient in Korean, will be led by senior partner Yoonguk Kim. Kim obtained a foreign law consultant's license in South Korea in 2021, and he experienced assisting Korean companies investing in Qingdao.
The office will provide contentious and non-litigation legal services to Chinese enterprises and individuals in South Korea related to investments, mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, debt issuance, and cross-border disputes. Additionally, the office will cater to South Korean individuals and enterprises in China.
In a statement, Jointide said that the establishment of the South Korea office marked a milestone step towards expanding the firm's presence in the East Asian region and showcased its commitment to providing on-the-ground Korea-related legal services.
