Hong Kong-headquartered dispute resolution and insolvency firm MB Kemp has hired Gilbert Kwok as a partner in the city from Cocking & Co.

Experienced in construction projects, Kwok advises developers and contractors on arbitration and litigation. He joined Cocking & Co in 2020, after having worked at Clyde & Co for nearly nine years as a partner.

With offices in Hong Kong, London, Milan and Abu Dhabi, MB Kemp was launched in September 2020 by former Stephenson Harwood partners Malcolm Kemp and Yeeling Wan. Shortly after that, the firm added two more partners from Stephenson Harwood, Voon Keat Lai – who serves as managing partner – and Ivy Wong.

Kwok’s addition has brought the number of MB Kemp partners in Hong Kong to six.
