London-headquartered Penningtons Manches Cooper now has four partners in Singapore after hiring banking and finance lawyer Nick How from local Big Four outfit Rajah & Tann.

How becomes Penningtons’ third lateral partner hire in the city-state in three years. In February 2021, it added corporate expert Nick Dingemans from Watson Farley & Williams, and in October last year, it welcomed back energy lawyer John Zadkovich, who was running his independent energy consultancy in Hong Kong.

With 25 years of experience, How advises on trade and commodity finance, project finance, syndicated lending, private credit, debt finance, acquisition and leveraged finance, structured finance and restructuring that involve jurisdictions across Europe, Asia and other emerging markets. His clients include commercial and investment banks, development finance institutions, hedge funds, private equity houses, investment funds, sponsors, and corporates.

Before joining Rajah & Tann as a partner in 2016, How worked for Jones Day, Shearman & Sterling, and Linklaters.
