Herbert Smith Freehills has advised the Vietur consortium on its successful $1.5 billion bid to build a terminal building at Ho Chi Minh City's under-construction Long Thanh Airport.
The consortium is led by Turkish contractor IC İçtaş İnşaat and includes Vietnam's Ricons, Newtecons, Vinaconex and Construction Corporation No.1.
When completed, the airport will become Vietnam’s biggest, Reuters reported, adding that the country looks to it to help drive economic growth post-COVID.
The HSF team was led by Paris partner Olga Melo Zanelli, who was supported by Adrian Wong, director at Prolegis, Herbert Smith Freehills' formal law alliance in Singapore.
