JSA Advocates and Solicitors has continued its market-leading expansion in 2024 with the addition of one of India’s top antitrust lawyers, Nisha Kaur Uberoi, along with her team of 25 fee-earners, including partners Harshita Singh Parmar and Pranav Satyam.

Prior to joining Trilegal in 2017, Uberoi co-headed the competition practice at AZB & Partners, and before that, led the same practice at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.

With over two decades of experience, Uberoi advises on issues like cartel enforcement, abuse of dominance, leniency applications, merger control, competition law audit and compliance. She represents clients in cartel investigations as well as abuse of dominance proceedings before the Competition Commission of India, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, and the Supreme Court of India.

“We are thrilled to welcome Nisha and her team to JSA. This move will greatly enhance and consolidate the firm’s existing domain in competition law, and further bolster our market-leading corporate and disputes practices. We look forward to leveraging Nisha's insights and experience to deliver exceptional value to our clients. The addition of Nisha and her team to our existing practice in JSA, is a testament to our commitment to meeting the complex antitrust and competition needs of our clients globally,” said Amit Kapur and Vivek K. Chandy, JSA’s joint managing partners, in a statement.

“I am delighted to join JSA, which is renowned for its excellent corporate and disputes practices. An inclusive and equitable platform, JSA’s professional structure was a big draw,” Uberoi added.

Uberoi is the latest in a string of high-profile partners who have been attracted to JSA for its attractive equity partnership structure and operational independence.

Former Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas M&A star Iqbal Khan joined JSA in June with a 20-strong team.

JSA’s other recent additions include a disputes partner from Luthra and Luthra Law Offices in Delhi, an IndusLaw disputes team in Delhi, a disputes team from K Law in Mumbai, and a real estate team from DSK Legal in Bengaluru.
