San Francisco-headquartered law firm Rimon has opened an office in Tokyo, marking its entry into the Japanese market and expanding its presence in Asia to four cities.

The move comes after Rimon established a Japan regional practice last year, hiring several partners specializing in cross-border issues for Japanese companies.

"The opening of an office in Tokyo is a very exciting milestone for our firm," said Eric Kirsch, a Rimon partner based in Tokyo. "We are excited to share the Rimon service model with Japanese companies and clients, which allows us to deliver excellent legal services in a highly efficient manner."

Rimon's Tokyo team will focus on advising Japanese companies on outbound transactional and dispute matters in the United States, Europe, and Latin America, as well as intellectual property protection in the U.S.

The firm, which now boasts 50 offices across five continents, also has Asian offices in Shenzhen, Seoul, and Singapore.
