Japanese law firm Miura & Partners has announced plans to open a new office in Bangkok, Thailand, in March 2025, marking its latest move in an aggressive global expansion strategy.

The Bangkok office will be the firm's third Southeast Asian outpost, following its entry into Indonesia and Vietnam in recent years. Miura & Partners also operates offices in London and San Francisco, underlining its international ambitions.

The new office will by Ryoichi Inoue, lead partner of Miura's Southeast Asia/South Asia practice. It aims to provide comprehensive legal, taxation, and accounting services to Japanese companies operating in Thailand. The Bangkok office will focus on supporting M&A transactions, new business expansion, fraud investigations, and dispute resolution.

The team in Thailand will initially comprise three to four Thai lawyers, with additional support from Taro Tanaka, an expert in Asian dispute resolution, business and human rights.
