Danny Ong (R) and Wern-Jhien Yam, former partners of Singapore’s Rajah & Tann, have established a disputes-focused law firm called Setia Law.

Setia Law will focus on commercial and financial dispute resolution, fraud and financial crime, international enforcement and asset recovery, and debt restructuring and insolvency.

Ong, who is managing director of the new firm, advises financial institutions, private investment funds and state-owned enterprises on cross-border disputes and investigations. He worked for Rajah & Tann for more than 15 years, prior to which he spent three years at Hogan Lovells.

Yam, who also spent about 15 years at Rajah & Tann, specialises in disputes related to technology, banking and financial services, including cryptocurrency, blockchain and other digital assets.
