London-headquartered insurance-focused law firm Kennedys has closed its Bangkok office after five years.
Kennedys established its Thailand outpost in 2017 after hiring from DLA Piper. In a statement, it said it would “continue to service our clients’ Thailand needs from our regional offices in APAC working closely with our network of local law firms in Thailand.”
Following the closure of the Bangkok office, the firm has seven offices in the Asia-Pacific region: In Singapore, Hong Kong, Auckland, and four offices in Australia.
It becomes the second confirmed office closure in Thailand by an international firm in the past two years. In early 2021, Mayor Brown shuttered its Bangkok presence.
