The newly-launched shipping team of Duane Morris & Selvam— the enhanced joint law venture between Singapore boutique Arfat Selvam and U.S. firm Duane Morris— has closed its first major transaction representing PT Supraco Lines, a subsidiary of Indonesian listed company PT Radiant Utama Interinsco Tbk (RUIS), on a ship sale and purchase deal.

Duane Morris & Selvam, the first US-Singapore joint venture to be approved under the Enhanced Joint Law Venture model has poached two out of three senior partners from local maritime firm Navin & Co, to jumpstart its new shipping and maritime practice. A third senior shipping lateral was hired from a separate local firm. A fourth director was appointed to boost its corporate capabilities.
