Indian law firm J. Sagar Associates continued its hiring streak with the addition of Anurag Shrivastav as a partner in the firm’s corporate practice. Shrivastav was previously a counsel at Trilegal.

Shrivastav marks the firm’s third lateral partner hire in about a month. Disputes pro Harshavardhan Abburi joined JSA in Hyderabad, while Rakesh Warrier left his in-house role at Zetwerk to join the firm in Bengaluru. 

With previous stints at Talwar Thakore & Associates and Bharucha & Partners, Shrivastav has over 12 of experience advising on M&A, private equity and venture capital deals. Notable deals include advising ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel on its $2.4 billion acquisition of Essar’s assets, guiding on Alibaba and Alipay’s Indian unicorn transactions, and the IPOs of Paytm and Zomato.

Other clients of Shrivastav’s include  SSG Capital Advisors, Softbank, Blackstone, Nuvama Asset Management and QED.
