South Korean law firm Yulchon has hired partner Junghye June Yeum from Baker & McKenzie to co-head the firm’s international arbitration practice.

Yeum has advised several large Asian companies on a number of arbitrations, including Korea Export Insurance Corporation, Samsung Techwin, and Samsung subsidiary Seoul Commtech.

She has also won claims against international companies, including ICC Chemical in a $55 million dispute and General Physics in a $30 million JAMS claim.

Yeum is listed as an arbitrator with the Korea Commercial Arbitration Board, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, and the U.S. International Chamber of Commerce.
