Baker & McKenzie has announced the promotion of three staff to the partnership in Australia. The new partners from July 1 are Daniel Middleton in the construction practice, Philippa Murphy in the dispute resolution practice and David Walter, also in the dispute resolution practice. 

The firm also announced the addition of five special counsels and 14 senior associates across 11 practices in Sydney and Melbourne. The new special counsels are:

  • Alison Ashford - construction, Melbourne
  • Richard Ballinger - dispute resolution, Sydney
  • Sebastian Busa - commercial real estate, Sydney
  • Sarah Lancaster - dispute resolution, Sydney
  • Toby Patten - telecommunications, Melbourne

Baker & McKenzie has appointed 63 new partners worldwide, bringing the total number of partners in the firm to 1,400.
