India’s L&L Partners has welcomed back intellectual property expert Subhash Bhutoria as a partner in Delhi. Bhutoria, who was at L&L between 2015 and 2017, was most recently running his own practice.

This is a time of upheaval at L&L Partners, with former equity partner Mohit Saraf leaving the organisation to start his own firm, Saraf & Partners, following a year-long public spat with L&L managing partner Rajiv Luthra. During this time, L&L has seen a string of partner exits, but also welcomed back a number of alumni as partners, including Piyush Mishra, Asim Abbas, Sonali Choudhry and Prabjot Singh Bhullar.

Bhutoria, who also focuses on art law, has additionally worked with law firms Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan and Lall & Sethi. His clients include sports and gaming firms, fashion labels and lifestyle brands, galleries, artists and creative professionals.

With his hire, the firm now has a total of 68 partners.
