FTI Consulting has appointed Jon Rowell as the sole leader of its Asia and Caribbean operations. A senior managing director, Rowell was previously co-leader of the operation with John Batchelor.

The Hong Kong-based Rowell has been with FTI for more than five years and specialises in valuation, accounting and financial issues. He will be responsible for the growth of the firm in Asia and the Caribbean, and oversee offices in 12 jurisdictions.

Meanwhile, Batchelor will relocate to FTI Consulting’s corporate finance and restructuring segment in Australia.

Global law firm Morrison Foerster has announced that private equity veteran Scott Jalowayski will rejoin the firm as a partner in Singapore. Jalowayski most recently co-chaired the global private equity group at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
