Michael D. Rackham, a former corporate partner at Kirkland & Ellis, has joined Latham & Watkins in Singapore as a counsel.

Rackham advises on cross-border corporate matters in the APAC region, including M&A, disposals, auctions, private equity and leveraged buyouts, take-privates, spin-offs, and joint ventures. He joined Kirkland in 2016, and was made partner in 2019. Prior to joining Kirkland, Rackham worked at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.

Latham’s Singapore office recently hired three other partners, including Sidharth (Sid) Bhasin and James Clayton-Payne from Shearman & Sterling, and Don Stokes from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
