Global law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius has strengthened its regulatory practice in Beijing and Shanghai after hiring Guo Bingna as a partner from White & Case.

Guo has experience in regulatory, compliance, and investigation matters, including international anti-corruption investigations and compliance matters, complex corporate internal investigations, cross-border litigation, international commercial arbitration and mediation, data privacy and data protection, trade compliance, and crisis management.

Prior to joining White & Case in 2018, Guo worked at O'Melveny & Myers for more than 19 years across its in Shanghai, New York and Los Angeles offices, advising clients on a variety of cross-border transactions involving China. She became a partner at that firm in 2009.

“The global regulatory environment is becoming progressively challenging for clients to navigate, with increasingly rigorous anti-corruption requirements and other related compliance issues that present risk for most companies with global operations. Bingna’s deep experience and presence in China will be a significant resource for our global white-collar team, providing an on-ground touchpoint for complex, multijurisdictional matters,” said Jami McKeon, chair of Morgan Lewis, in a statement.

The new addition brings Morgan Lewis’s Beijing lawyer count to 22, including 4 partners.
