Singapore law firm Oon & Bazul LLP has hired Perry Elizabeth Wong as a partner in its dispute resolution practice from local rival Tan Rajah & Cheah (TRC), where she was a senior associate.

Wong has more than eight years of experience in complex civil and commercial litigation, international arbitration, and white-collar criminal matters. Her track record includes handling a $64 million High Court trial involving breaches of fiduciary duties and representing clients in Singapore's recent S$3 billion money laundering case and the Wirecard fraud investigation.

With appearances before all levels of Singapore Courts, as well as experience in international arbitration under institutions including SIAC and LCIA, Wong’s practice spans sectors such as private wealth management, banking, energy, and consumer goods.

“Perry’s broad experience in both litigation and arbitration makes her a valuable addition to our team,” said Bazul Ashhab, managing partner and head of dispute resolution at Oon & Bazul, in a statement. “Her expertise in handling high-stakes matters will further enhance our ability to provide top-tier legal solutions to our clients.”

Oon & Bazul now has 14 partners, including recent hires Lye Yu Min (restructuring and insolvency) and Elan Krishna (disputes), who joined from Rajah & Tann and Cavenagh Law, respectively.

The firm recently lost three disputes partners – former commercial arbitration head Suresh Divyanathan, Aaron Leong and Rachel Leong – who left to set up Dauntless Law Chambers.
