Job Description
Key responsibilities:
- Depending on the level of experience of the employment lawyer this role can be focussed on either non-contentious employment work and/or contentious employment disputes;
- Clients include employers and employees of local and global conglomerates as well as reputable financial institutions;
- Involvement in employment work as follows:
- Hiring Strategies, Negotiating and drafting contract terms, Entitlements under deferred compensation, bonus and share schemes, Drafting and advising on post termination restrictions, Advising on performance reviews and appraisals
- Advising on internal investigations, SFC regulatory investigations and disciplinary issues
- Discrimination and privacy complaints/issues
Applying for and defending injunctions, Advising on redundancy issues, Advising on termination and separation agreements - Representing both employers and employees engaged in legal proceedings from the Labour Tribunal to Court of Final Appeal
Key requirements:
- Minimum of 2 - 8 years PQE either HK or UK qualified with solid employment background
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Excellent drafting and communciation skills
- Excellent opportunities for career progression with future tracks to Partnership
- English is a must, Mandarin or Cantonese is advantageous but NOT essential
