Main duties and responsibilities:
Our consultants (or Varios) work on fixed term assignments supporting on client matters for our client's in-house legal team; or within the firm.
Working for a client
On client assignment you will typically work with the client's in-house legal team supporting the client to achieve their overall business objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities depend largely on the requirements and needs of our client. Flexible working gives you variety and so the type of work you will experience will vary from general business support, regulatory change programmes, major projects and more strategic roles.
Working within the firm
On assignment with the firm the Vario will be supporting on major projects and cases, where there is a spike in workload or a need for a particular skill set.
Varios are selected based on their technical excellence and their behavioural characteristics. As a result, a Vario on assignment will quickly get to grips with the culture of the client and/our firm and demonstrate the resilience and judgement required of a flexible legal consultant.
Working as a Vario
Varios on assignment receive professional indemnity cover; have access to the knowledge systems of Pinsent Masons and to the firm's network of lawyers throughout the duration of their assignment. In addition, they will have access to on-going professional training, to Vario's account management team to support their flexible careers and to the high quality legal work offered by the firm.

Qualifications:
- Qualified with a strong academic background preferably with some experience in Asia Pacific
Relevant Experience:
- Top law firm experience
- In-house or secondment experience
