Job Description
UK law firm would like to hire a junior to mid level funds associate to join their growing Singapore office.
You will be currently working in Asia or looking for a move from the London or ANZ market ideally in a funds / corporate practice.
This is an international team of lawyers qualified in different common law jurisdictions. You will have the opportunity to work with market leading senior lawyers and given training and transcational experience to develop your career.
Type of Work Involved
- interest in upstream and downstream funds (buying and selling)
- acting for sponsors of and investors in private equity, real estate and infrastructure funds if coming from a funds background or corporate MA experience from a leading international firm
- focus on fund formation, fund investment (on investor side) for sovereign wealth funds and institutional investors
- open ended and close ended funds (i.e. funds with a fixed life vs funds with no expiration date)
- working on the fund cycle i.e. restructuring, secondaries etc
- you will get exposure to all sets of asset class: funds in PE, Real Estate, venture capital (with a focus on PE and RE)
Candidates should have:
- top academics preferred
- peer firm experience preferred but not essential
- willingness to travel in Asia and globally
- SG, EW, HK, ANZ, SA, US or other common law encouraged to apply
- preference is for a junior to mid level on the EW scale but star candidates of any level are welcome to apply
