US law firm would like to hire an associate to join their expanding Hong Kong office to focus on cross-border private equity and M&A transactions.   US Rated for US associate.  Mid range target billable hours for bonus.

Client is looking for a motivated mid-level associate to join an expanding team of partners and other associates to focus on cross-border private equity and M&A transactions generated out of their Hong Kong and Singapore offices.  Great mentorship, training and career path.

• HK or UK qualification is preferred although consideration will be given to New York qualified candidates with cross border private equity experience.
• 2 to 5 years' post qualification experience with relevant experience gained in a leading law firm
• Dynamic, self-motivated and able to work under pressure, and a good team player.
• Native English (written and spoken) and Mandarin preferred, but not essential
• Excellent partner mentorship where you will work with leading practitioners that were AMLAW 20 or MC trained across Asia, US and Europe.
• International candidates are welcomed to apply and will be relocated

Key duties

Handling due diligence, documentation, negotiation and transaction management primarily in relation to cross border, multi jurisdictional private equity and M&A matters.

Advising on private equity financings, strategic pre-IPO investments and restructuringsand other cross-border equity and hybrid financing transactions.

Advising on joint ventures and consortium arrangements.

Assisting on matters relating to investment funds and financial sponsor platform matters including secondary transactions and general corporate governance and other matters.
