Clyde & Co has bolstered its Asian marine practice with the hire of Conor Warde as a counsel in Hong Kong, the promotion of Chris Metcalf to partner in Singapore, and the relocation of partner Andrew Rourke from the UK to Shanghai.

Previously an of counsel at Blank Rome in Hong Kong, Warde has joined Clyde & Co’s Asia transportation finance group. He advises on ship and other asset financing, ship sale and purchase and shipbuilding contracts, and U.S. regulatory compliance matters.

Newly promoted Metcalf advises ship owners and operators on all aspects of shipping, while Rourke specialises in shipping and trading disputes, and advises several oil and petrochemical companies on the trading and carriage of oil and gas products.

Clyde & Co’s Asia marine group now comprises eight partners and 24 legal professionals.
