Baker & McKenzie GJBJ Tokyo Aoyama Aoki Koma Law Office has welcomed home one of its own after a five-year hiatus – and promoted her to lead a team of attorneys specialising in cross-border mergers and acquisitions between Japan, and the Middle East and North Africa regions.
Mina Arai-Ito’S return marks the end of a five-year stint in Baker & McKenzie’s Brussels and Cairo offices. Her practice focuses on M&A work, corporate compliance, employment, disputes and general corporate matters. Arai-Ito has more than 10 years of cross-border corporate transaction experience in multiple jurisdictions around the world.
In addition to Tokyo, Brussels and Cairo, Arai-Ito has also spent a considerable amount of time practicing in Baker & McKenzie’s Taipei and Washington DC offices. Arai-Ito is also a registered attorney in New Jersey and Washington DC and her application as a gaikokohou jimu bengoshi (foreign law counsellor) is currently being processed.ALB
