Ashurst has promoted three partners in the Middle East with effect from 1 May 2011. This is part of a larger round of global partnership promotions, numbering 12; up one from 11 last year.

Judith Kim, formerly the senior legal counsel from Shell Gas & Power, has been promoted to the partnership in Dubai. Enticed to join the firm’s global energy team, Kim crossed over to join as counsel in 2010. Kim, who previously held roles at Allen & Overy and Shearman Sterling, has been based in the Middle East for the past six years where she has advised on projects in the Middle East and North Africa, India, Pakistan, as well as Asia and Australia. 

In Abu Dhabi, corporate lawyer Alastair Holland and infrastructure lawyer David Jardine have also joined the partnership.  Holland started at the firm in 1997 and specialises in  ECM, M&A and private equity. David Jardine joined the firm in 2006 and specialises in infrastructure projects, transport projects, public-private partnerships, construction projects and project finance.ALB
