Hogan Lovells has strengthened its Vietnam corporate practice with the hire of Jeff Olson as a partner in the firm’s Ho Chi Minh City office.

Previously a senior associate at Allen & Overy in Vietnam, Olson advises local and international clients on cross-border M&A, joint ventures, investments, corporate and acquisition financing and other corporate matters.

Olson is the only Hogan Lovells partner to be based full-time in Vietnam, although Hong Kong-based partners Henry Wheare, Tim Fletcher and Steven Tran – who joined the firm from Kirkland & Ellis in September – also advise regularly on Vietnamese-related work.

With the addition of Olson, Hogan Lovells now has six lawyers based at its Vietnam offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
