King & Spalding is moving Wade Coriell, deputy head of the firm’s global international arbitration practice, from Houston to Singapore, where he will lead the firm’s disputes practice in Asia.

Coriell takes over from John Savage, who will divide his time between the firm’s Singapore and London offices. Coriell‘s arrival will make him the fifth partner in King & Spalding’s Singapore disputes team.

Coriell’s practice is focused on the oil and gas industry, where he handles matters in commercial and investment treaty arbitrations, as well as litigation.  He also has expertise in representing foreign investors in disputes with host governments.

“Wade brings a wealth of experience in investor-state and energy-related disputes and is no stranger to Asia. He will be a huge asset in a region where arbitration still has enormous potential for growth and clients are very discerning,” said Ed Kehoe, head of K&S’ international arbitration practice, in a statement.
