Offshore law firm Walkers has hired finance expert James Webb as a partner in its Hong Kong office from rival Mourant Ozannes, where he was an associate.
Webb, who has both offshore and onshore experience, has previously worked in the British Virgin Islands (BVI), Cayman Islands, London and Singapore. He advises on complex financing transactions, restructurings, workouts, enforcements, hybrid debt structures, structured finance, acquisition, real estate, leveraged and project and infrastructure finance, fund formations, private equity, venture capital and other corporate transactions.
Prior to his stint with Mourant Ozannes in the BVI, Webb worked with Allen & Overy and Standard Chartered Bank.
Walkers currently has 19 partners based in Hong Kong and Singapore.
