Our client is a well established global banking group with over 25,000 employees world wide. It has a medium sized presence in HK with well established track record in Hong Kong and other parts of Asia.

They require an experienced compliance / legal professional to manage their HK compliance function. The role reports to the Asia Head of Compliance based in another location so there is a high degree of autonomy. It requires management of a medium sized team as well as being hands on when required. The role will involve working with and advising the business, being a focal point for regulators in particular the HKMA and generally improving the operations of the function.

The ideal candidate will typically have at least 8 to 10 years relevant experience and a relevant compliance, legal , regulatory background. Prior experience of global markets and / or commercial banking products is advantageous.
