Our client is a leading offshore law firm with a well established office in Hong Kong. It advises on a range of high profile commercial disputes for an impressive mix of blue chip clients.
Due to continued growth it is seeking an ambitious insolvency disputes lawyer.
The successful candidate will work on a wide range of litigation, restructuring and insolvency matters sourced from Asia involving Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands entities, structures and issues. The work will include shareholder disputes, contentious and non-contentious insolvency, solvent and insolvent liquidations, restructurings, distressed entity work, court-supervised corporate matters (including shareholder and creditor schemes of arrangement, capital reorganisations and company restorations) security enforcement, contentious private client work (in particular, trusts disputes), investment funds disputes and general advisory work.
The majority of our client’s work includes a cross-border aspect to it and the role will involve some regional travel.
You will have 3 to 6 years of experience with a well regarded international law firm and you will be admitted within a commonwealth jurisdiction. Chinese language skills are not required and no prior offshore experience is necessary. Our client will also consider barristers who are interested in joining an offshore law firm.
This is a rare opportunity for an entrepreneurial and talented insolvency litigator seeking an opportunity to build a career in Hong Kong.
