Drew & Napier has appointed corporate and finance director Steven Lo as the firm’s head of mergers and acquisitions in Singapore.

Lo has expertise in both private and public M&A transactions in Singapore and Asia, representing bidders, target companies and financial advisers. He has also acted for issuers, underwriters and selling shareholders in a variety of domestic and international capital markets transactions.

Lo was involved in the 2008 takeover and tender offer for STATS ChipPac by Temasek Holdings, which was hailed as the Singapore Deal of the Year and Singapore M&A Deal of the Year at the ALB Law Awards. 

He was also involved in PetroChina International (Singapore) takeover offer for Singapore Petroleum, which was chosen as ALB Singapore M&A Deal of the Year in 2010.

Global law firm Morrison Foerster has announced that private equity veteran Scott Jalowayski will rejoin the firm as a partner in Singapore. Jalowayski most recently co-chaired the global private equity group at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
