Singapore-based Colin Ng & Partners (CNP) has hired Terence Yeo as partner to head its private equity and fintech practice from Kelvin Chia Partnership.

Yeo’s practice covers private equity and venture capital investments, M&As, technology, employment, and general corporate and commercial matters.

Some of the significant cross-border transactions that Yeo has been involved include acting for Malayan Banking (Maybank) in a $1.5 billion deal to secure a controlling stake in Bank Internasional Indonesia in 2015.

He has also acted as Singapore counsel for hedge fund Tiger Global Four Holdings in its $60 million equity-cum-debt investment into Athena Projects, a holding company of hydroelectric and thermal power plants in India.

Yeo joined Kelvin Chia Partnership in 2015 after a 10-year stint with Dentons Rodyk. Before that, he worked at Loo & Partners and A. Ang Seah & Hoe in Singapore.
