Squire Patton Boggs has hired corporate lawyer Mörk Murdock as partner in its Tokyo office.  Formerly, Murdock was with Davis Polk where he led the Japan M&A Team.

Murdock's practice focuses on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and joint ventures.

He has acted for Japanese multinationals in the manufacturing and industrial, pharmaceutical and life sciences, and financial and life insurance sectors. Murdock is also experienced in cross-border acquisitions, corporate investigations, regulatory compliance, as well as business integrations and mergers.

Murdock’s appointment comes as Squire Patton Boggs is boosting its corporate capabilities in Japan following last year's hire of Rika Beppu from Hogan Lovells.  He is the fourth senior appointment by the firm in Tokyo.
