Nigel Francis, the former head of Asia for Addleshaw Goddard, has left the UK firm to join Hong Kong-based boutique YTL as a senior consultant.

Francis, who specialises in commercial litigation and employment disputes, joined Addleshaws as the head of the Asian region in 2013 from the Hong Kong office of Australian firm Minter Ellison, where he was head of the disputes and employment practice.

Prior to that, Francis spent more than two decades at the legacy Herbert Smith, first in London and then in Hong Kong.

At YTL, Francis will reunite with James Yeung, the head of dispute resolution at YTL with whom he had worked earlier for nearly a decade at both Minters and Addleshaws.

Following the appointment of Francis, YTL has three partners and one senior consultant.
