Magic Circle firm Slaughter and May has made a second lateral partner hire in Hong Kong in a span of two years, after welcoming back Jing Chen from the Hong Kong Exchange (HKEx). 

In May last year, Slaughters hired Wynne Mok as a partner from Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission, where she was a director of enforcement.

Chen, who joined Slaughters in 2006 as a trainee, spent eight years in the firm as an associate. He was seconded to the Listing Division of HKEX in 2016, and joined the exchange permanently in the following year.

His arrival will take the number of partners at Slaughters’ Hong Kong office to 13, according to the firm’s website.
