Indian law firm Trilegal is bolstering its banking and finance practice with the hire of Joseph Jimmy, who will join the firm early next year as a partner in Mumbai from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.

This is Trilegal’s second partner hire from CAM in two months, after snapping up the latter firm’s investigations head Kunal Gupta in September.

Jimmy, who spent more than a decade at CAM during a 15-year career, focuses on asset and structured finance, debt capital markets and debt restructuring. He has also worked with private sector banks, foreign banks and domestic NBFCs. Prior to joining CAM, Jimmy was an associate in Simmons & Simmons.

Following the hire of Jimmy, Trilegal will have 54 partners. This year, the firm also hired energy and infrastructure specialist Rahul Arora from HSA Advocates, and corporate partners Harsh Maggon and Arjun Ghose from AZB & Partners and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, respectively.
