India’s L&L Partners has welcomed back technology media and telecommunications (TMT) specialist Asim Abbas as a partner in Delhi, nearly two decades after he first left the firm.

Abbas joins from J. Sagar Associates. He  focuses on TMT, M&A and general corporate advisory, and also advises clients on policy, regulatory, contractual, compliance and approvals, transactional and litigation.

Prior to joining JSA, Abbas worked with Khatian & Co., Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.

This is L&L’s second partner hire in the past few weeks. In October, partner Sonali Choudhry rejoined the firm in Mumbai from Advani & Co.

Abbas’ departure from JSA follows the exit of a five-member banking and finance team, including partners Divyanshu Pandey and Arpita Garg, from that firm. The team joined S&R Associates.
