UK firm Hill Dickinson has boosted its construction and commercial arbitration practice in Hong Kong with the hire of Richard Lyons, who previously held an in-house role with Arabtec Construction in Dubai.

This is the firm’s second partner hire in Hong Kong this year, following the addition of capital markets specialist YK Chan from Paul Hastings. Hill Dickinson also hired Jonathan Goacher as a partner in Singapore recently.

Lyons has acted on construction dispute and arbitration cases concerning major infrastructure projects for clients including the Hong Kong Government and Mass Transit Railway Corporation.

Following Lyons’ addition, Hill Dickinson currently has five partners in its Hong Kong office.
