Indonesian boutique FKNK Law Firm has hired M&A pro Meilisa Husein as a partner in Jakarta. Husein was most recently running her own firm, Meilisa Husein & Partners.

Husein specialises in M&A, private equity financing, secured lending, debt restructuring and insolvency proceedings. Her expertise is in cross-border work, having served clients from diverse countries, including investors from China, Singapore, Malaysia, and the United States.

“Her broad international experience and deep understanding of cross-border legal matters make her an invaluable addition to our firm,” FKNK said in a statement.

Before launching her own practice in 2016, Husein spent time in-house at Catur Bangun Mandiri Perkasa and at law firm Hutabarat, Halim & Rekan.

In July, FKNK hired Raden Aji Wibisono as partner from learning platform Kuncie, where he was vice-president of legal.

Founded in 2011, the firm now has 23 lawyers, including seven partners.
