Malaysian law firm Jeff Leong, Poon & Wong (JLPW) has hired Hui Wen Tan as a partner and its head of dispute resolution from Skrine, where she was a senior associate.

"Hui Wen's addition marks a pivotal step in our firm's dispute resolution practice evolution, underscoring our dedication to expanding this area of expertise to support our clients' needs," a JLPW spokesperson said in a statement.

Tan brings experience representing private sector firms, Fortune 500 companies, government-linked companies and state agencies in Malaysian courts and international arbitrations. She is able to conduct trials and hearings in both English and Malay.

At Skrine, where she spent a decade, Tan worked on high-profile cases including land acquisitions for major infrastructure projects and appeals involving native customary rights.

With Tan’s hire, JLPW now has 10 partners.
