Indian law firm Emerald Law Offices, which was established in May this year, has opened an office in India’s tech and startup capital, Bengaluru, and added real estate partner Aditi Lodha (L) to its Delhi base.
The new office is part of the firm’s strategic expansion plan “to offer clients an extended range of services and a wider geographical footprint,” managing partner Sachit Mathur said in a statement.
Mathur started Emerald Law in May, along with three other colleagues from Saraf & Partners’ real estate practice. Since then, the firm has added two more partners across practice areas, including white-collar crime pro Varun Pareek from Clasis Law in June.
The latest partner hire, Aditi Lodha, brings almost two decades of real estate experience, advising clients on land acquisition, legal compliance, disputes and regulatory concerns. Lodha also strengthens Emerald Law’s real estate transactions practice across India, the firm said.
Priyanka Eshwar (R) joins the Emerald Law as counsel to kickstart the firm’s Bengaluru outpost. With previous stints at Tatva Legal and Saraf & Partners, Eshwar is a Karnataka real estate attorney, specialising in transaction advisory and contract negotiation, Emerald Law said.
The firm, which currently counts six partners, also added a counsel each to its intellectual property and data protection practice groups in Delhi.
