Shenzhen-headquartered firm Zhuo Jian Law Firm has opened a new office in the Japanese capital as it looks to tap into demand for legal services in the world's third-largest economy.

The Tokyo office will be led by director Yin Xiuzhong and staffed by a team with experience studying and working in Japan as well as bilingual capabilities, Zhuo Jian said.

It added that the new base will focus on meeting client needs, strengthening its client network and resource pooling development, and enhancing cooperation with various intermediary service organizations to provide comprehensive, high-quality services.

The launch comes as Chinese companies increasingly look to invest in Japan, requiring local legal and advisory support. Japanese companies have also shown interest in tapping growth opportunities in China in recent years.
