UAE law firm Hadef & Partners has grown its Abu Dhabi and Dubai offices by 10 new additions – a move that the firm says is in response to growing client requirements for specialist UAE law advice. Practice areas slated for growth include banking & finance, corporate, dispute resolution, government regulation and employment.
“The legal landscape in the UAE continues to evolve and we experience a growing demand for our specialized legal service and depth of knowledge of local law and practice,” Hadef & Partners managing partner Faraj Ahnish said. According to Ahnish, the firm’s litigation and arbitration teams have been busy as the volume of disputes continue to rise in the region.
Six out of the 10 lawyers joining the firm are dispute resolution lawyers. Hussein Shabana, Jonathan Brown and Haitham Kaliefa will be joining the disputes team in Dubai. The other three – Mutasim Ismail, Mona Hussein and Zaid Al Momani will join the disputes resolutions practice in Abu Dhabi.
Shabana was previously head of the civil and commercial litigation department of Habib Al Mulla. Brown has re-joined the firm after two years as regional counsel for engineering multinational Aecom; and Khaliefa spent 10 years in Dubai working in Al Tamimi and Al Haddad.
Other lawyers joining the firm include Shahrzad Mallavi (financial services and regulatory practice), Rana El Husseini (corporate & commercial), Muhammad Nassef Ali (corporate) and Mandeep Kalsi (employment).
