Bird & Bird has hired Pattie Walsh, previously head of DLA Piper’s Asia Pacific employment practice, as a partner in Hong Kong.

With over a decade’s experience across Asia, Walsh advises on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters with a particular focus on PRC labour law.

“Pattie's track record of building and leading her team, her reputation amongst peers and clients, plus her regional/global focus represents a unique opportunity for us to take the Bird & Bird Asia Pacific Employment practice to the next level,” Bird & Bird’s head of Asia-Pacific employment, Susan de Silva, said in a statement.

Walsh, who is currently located in London, will be based in Bird & Bird’s Hong Kong office from early 2016.
