O’Melveny & Myers has hired Daniel Sae-Chin Kim as a partner and co-representative of the Seoul office from Paul Hastings, where headed the firm’s Korea corporate practice.

Kim, who spent over 15 years at Paul Hastings, focuses on cross-border M&A, private equity buyouts and investments, and international joint ventures particularly outbound transactions for some Korean companies.

Kim’s hire comes weeks after partner Nima Amini was named the managing partner of O’Melveny’s Hong Kong office in place of James Ford, who moved to Allen & Overy.

Jinkang Albert Nah also recently joined as a counsel in O’Melveny’s Seoul office.
