Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld has hired international arbitration expert Ing Loong Yang as a partner in Hong Kong from Latham & Watkins.

Yang moved to Latham in 2013 after five years at Sidley Austin. He was earlier a partner at Singapore’s Allen & Gledhill between 1999 and 2005. A specialist in international arbitration and cross-border disputes with experience in cases involving parties in mainland China, Yang has appeared in matters governed by CIETAC, SIAC, ICC, HKIAC and UNCITRAL rules, as well as before Hong Kong courts.

With his addition, Akin Gump now has seven partners in Hong Kong.
