Big Six Korea law firm Yoon & Yang has strengthened its banking and finance practice after hiring of Hwan Jun Heo, Jong Youl Choi, and Yong Ho Choi as partners in Seoul from Financial Supervisory Service (FSS), the country’s integrated financial regulator.

Heo, who has over a decade of experience, will head Yoon & Yang’s financial regulations team. He has represented government entities within the capital markets and financial regulation sectors.

Meanwhile, Jong Youl Choi primarily handles capital market regulations and restrictions matters  including conducting investigations on unfair trade, corporate disclosures, and audits of accounting fraud by domestic and foreign financial and public companies.

And Yong Ho Choi, who led various inspections and restrictions against domestic and foreign financial organizations during his tenure at the FSS, will now provide legal services related to financial transaction cases and licensing/regulation related matters.

Earlier this year, the firm also hired lawyers Seung Jae Yeon also from FSS and Sung Tae Kim from the Korea Exchange.
