Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. has recruited investment funds specialist Gaurita Udiyawar as a partner in Mumbai.

Udiyawar, who has a decade of experience, focuses on structuring, setting up and documenting investment funds in India and overseas. She advises asset management companies and sponsors on forming, structuring, and negotiating private investment vehicles. She was previously at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.

With this addition, SAM now has 41 partners in Mumbai. They include partners Danish Kazi and Manan Mehta, who were hired from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas in March.
